When do I need to complete the Identity Verification Form?
If you're applying for an RBonline Account and aren't an existing suitably identified Rural Bank customer you will need to complete the Identity Verification Form.
What is an acceptable referee?
An acceptable referee is someone who is authorised to certify your identification documents and verify your identity.

What identification documents are acceptable?
Please refer to the Identity Verification Form for a list of acceptable documents.
Once I've completed the Identity Verification Form what do I need to send to Rural Bank?
You will need to send:
- the completed Identity Verification Form; and
- photocopies of the certified acceptable identification documents.
To Rural Bank's reply paid address together with the completed application form.
What is an acceptable referee required for?
You must sign the Identity Verification Form in the presence of an acceptable referee and have identification documents certified by the acceptable referee.
Why do I need to complete the Identity Verification Form?
The Identity Verification Form is a federal government requirement that enables Rural Bank to identify signatories to an RBonline Account who haven't previously been identified.
