Can I have card and chequebook access?

Debit cards and chequebooks are not available. If you require card or cheque access to your funds, Rural Bank offers a range of savings and transactional accounts that may meet your needs.

Are there any fees?

There are no transactional fees. Rural Bank does however, charge fees for general banking services. For information about these fees, see the Schedule of Fees and Charges.

How do I withdraw cash?

To withdraw cash you will need to transfer funds to another account using Internet or Phone Banking. You can then withdraw cash using your card or by visiting a branch.

How do I make a deposit?

To make a deposit you can either transfer funds electronically from another account or send a cheque to us. When sending a cheque, please be sure to include the account name and account number of the account for the cheque to be deposited to and your contact details.

When will I receive a statement?

RBonline Savings Account holders receive a statement every six calendar months.

Can I use my RBonline Savings Account to pay bills?

Yes. Paying your bills with BPAY® is simple when you're registered for Internet and Phone Banking.

Is there a minimum balance requirement?

You need to make an opening deposit of any amount to open an RBonline Savings Account. There is no minimum balance requirement to maintain your account.

When is interest paid?

Interest will be paid to your RBonline Savings Account monthly.

Do I need to be identified?

If you have already been suitably identified by Rural Bank, there is no need to do so again. If you are a new customer, you will need to complete an Identity Verification Form.

How long does it take for cheques deposited to my RBonline Savings Account to clear?

Cheques deposited to your RBonline Savings Account generally take three business days from the date deposited to your account to clear.

Can I have a joint RBonline Savings Account?

Yes. Your ERBonline Savings Account can be held jointly with another individual Australian resident over twelve years of age.
